Recently Iโve been focusing a lot on trying to get my hand on the bottom half of the ball at the release. Iโve made some improvements but I still have a ways to go. I am a 2 hander and Iโve been noticing the tip of my pinky finger is a little sore at the end of a practice session. Am I doing something wrong or is that just a byproduct of trying to change my hand position?
Worked on fundamentals today. Saw B&K latest video recently and worked on no-step and one step drills for feel, to โwait on it.โ
After one-steps drills, I was bowling at 75% of normal speed. By the end of the session I felt the ball was rolling better. I also felt like trail leg was staying on the ground better.
However, I did notice I was double dribbling the ball more. Not sure if that was an indication of getting my shoulder too far forward and pressing from the top of swing. More work for sure, but sharing results and welcoming feedback.
So what is the average wait time for getting a response on a video submitted for coaching? I was just was wondering if I submitted my video incorrectly. Its been half month and no response yet.
Hi everyone ๐ so just a rant and need some advice when it comes to bowling injuries. I started bowling about a year ago. I was bowling 3x a week (6games a piece) consistently getting better almost got to a 190avg, but i didnt listen to my body and couldnt recover quick enough so my hand and wrist slowly blew out. holding anything hurt, stretching my wrist was limited, etcโฆ ive been off it for a couple months and feeling at about 85%. With fall-winter league approaching and wanting to keep myself healthy what do yall suggest based on what you do to keep your wrists in good shape? Its just a little demoralizing having to stay off it going into season super rusty and afraid to hurt my hand again since my day job as a chef relies on my ability to use my hand.
Anyways, thanks for reading and any advice

Hi everyone!
Hope your summer is going well. Does anyone have issues with accuracy when trying to throw the ball extremely slow? In my summer league, the lane conditions are not ideal and downlane ball motion is a struggle with my lower rev rate. I am trying to adjust with slower footwork and slower swing. If I can keep the ball on target, the motion is improved but I am really struggling to keep the ball on target. I feel like I need a little more momentum to get better accuracy. I donโt know if this is a โmeโ thing or if it is common.
I am interested in reading your replies if you feel inclined to offer.
Thanks!
The Bionic suggested by Brad at the Orlando clinic arrived today. Drilled 40x5x40 and it destroyed the second shift house shot condition. 265 out of the box playing 7 different lines to test it out. The only 2 non strikes were playing flat up 5 and one that I elbowed and got soft. Thanks for the timing fix and the great ball suggestion.
Need help on short patterns. I can generate decent revs and throw a few different lines, and while I have trouble with underhooking on normal patterns, that problem is only applicable the first 3 frames on a short pattern before everything starts overhooking, including throwing with my hand up the back of the ball.
Any advice is welcome and appreciated, thank you
Video idea. Could we get a video about how to hit a target down lane. Like if I I stand on this board, aim for a arrow, where should it go down lane. Then the whole math side of if I move 2 boards left and move 1 at the arrows. Im having a hard time understanding all that.
