What are your stand/target numbers for your ten pins?
I got a spare ball for the first time, and I've been practicing 10 pins. I am trying to develop a better targeting system. I am a foul line looker, but I wanted to get a feel for what's typical.

It’s been about a year since I switched from one hand to two. What really changed the game for me was adding a half thumb last week. I love how much more control I have over my rev angle now. Is this common to add a half thumb to two hander style? I know there are half thumb bowlers. It feels like my accuracy has improved, and my rev angle is way more consistent.
Here we go again, bowling another tournament this Saturday and they say this is what we’re bowling on, any tips or input on how anyone would play this? I think it’ll be easier on me to throw on something like but who knows.
Gonna be bowling in a tournament this coming Sunday and the guy likes to put out their own custom patterns, what would y’all’s plan of attack be for something like this? I personally think i’ll be sanding SOMETHING to try and get some movement but we’ll see.
Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you get all the strikes you wanted this year 😄🎳
Just wanted to share a personal achievement, been bowling in a scratch tournament that puts sport shots out for about 3 years now, haven’t made cut once till today, bowled the end of the year thing and i finally put my reps to work, had a very good line to pocket 1st 3 and just grinded the last 3 of 6 for a +48 overall on a 44ft 1:1 pattern, thank you coach for getting me where i’ve been trying to get to, honestly think my funk i’ve been dealing with has just been because i’ve been on nothing but the house shot and i just ain’t that killer on house and i’m fine with that if it means i can compete on sport shots!
I am practicing with the Phaze II. I've only ever thrown it one other time. I have never in my life bowled a 300. I've only got front 10 once. I just went 299 to 300 back to back. This won't happen in league or tournament but I'll take it!
Ball type recommendation question:
I bowl in a late league which starts after another league. For the first game or game in a half, I am fine to use Black Widow 3.0. I throw a bit more speed dominant and am definitely a 10 board up and in person (10 dumper or whatever Kyle calls it 🙃)
I have tried going to a strong/sharp ball (Equinox Pearl) for the 3rd game but I just end up leaving some ugly splits.
What is the appropriate ball change for a situation like this? I was thinking of getting a weaker ball (the OG Phaze II) but it's more recommended on fresh patterns. Should I go to just a weaker pearl ball? The solution might be to open up and play more angular instead of ball changing too. Open to suggestiosn. Thanks!
Welp might need to work on somethings but a house shot i’m gonna take with a grain of salt, just couldn’t find carry with my reactive stuff so my dumb behind went to my plastic ball during league this evening, got lazy in the 2nd game but other than that I’m feeling decent about my game, just kinda wish I could throw reactive stuff on a house shot without it going so over-under for me🤣🤣 but tis what it is, the pins don’t care what you throw just so long as hit the angle right.
