Working on your game is hard. The best in the world have challenged themselves to feel uncomfortable the most often. And that’s how you get good. Keep trying new things and challenging yourself. You only learn more about the game when you do!

How did it go?

38ft is pretty short. I would encourage some kind of urethane in there honestly. It’s just a really amazing ball at times on patterns 38 and shorter.

To make your swing straight, do this:

Video yourself a lot until the swing is straight. Go all the way to the foul line and do a no step, swing the ball, and watch the film. Swing the ball in the opposites directions until the swing is straight.

You push the ball to the right, making the balls swing path sideways, making the swing come behind your back. If you push the ball away to the left, that will correct the swing path some. Push the ball away to the left, video it, and see the difference in swing shape. And keep doing that until the swing is more straight.

Keep it very simple. No steps and 1 steps. You can do this drill at your home. Swing the ball in your basement and release it into the couch and video tape it. You will eventually get familiar with what a straighter swing feels like, and then you will be able to be more accurate.
